Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has unveiled the 25-man squad for the 2025 Unity Cup in London, United Kingdom, with Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman conspicuously missing.
Among the players invited are Ahmed Musa of Kano Pillars, alongside nine other players who are part of the core Super Eagles B team that qualified for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Others who made the squad include Junior Nduka, Sikiru Alimi, and Sodiq Ismaila of Remo Stars; Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Saviour Isaac, and Collins Ugwueze of Enugu Rangers; and Papa Daniel Mustapha, Adamu Abubakar, and Waliu Ojetoye of Niger Tonadoes, Plateau United, and Ikorodu City, respectively.
Players not included are Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, and Victor Boniface.
Wilfred Ndidi, Simon Moses, Kelechi Iheanacho, Stanley Nwabali, Samuel Chukwueze, Cyriel Dessers and Frank Onyeka were also included in the lineup, while Chrisantus Uche of Getafe has also been handed his first-ever call-up.
The Unity Cup consists of four nations, and the tournament will take place from May 27 to 31 at the Gtech Stadium in London.
The participating teams are Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will square off against Ghana on day one of the cup semi-finals. The victors will face Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago in the final.
The grand finale is scheduled for May 31 and will see the return of all four teams.
The losers will semi-final matches will play for third-place position while the 2025 Unity Cup champions will be crowned after the final.
