Changan Automobile held its 2025 Global Partners Conference, reflecting on achievements, analyzing industry trends, and outlining its 2025 objectives and key strategies, reports Shanghai Metal Market.

In 2024, Changan Automobile has seen significant progress in its strategic transformation, structural optimisation, and operational quality.

The company expects annual sales of 2.683 million vehicles this year, which should rise 5.1 percent year on year, marking a new high over the past seven years. Auto exports are projected to reach 530,000 units in 2024, surging 47.9 percent from a year ago.

In the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment, Changan Automobile anticipates annual sales of 733,000 units in 2024, reflecting a 52.4 percent spike year-over-year. Notably, its NEV sales surpassed 100,000 units in November, marking another milestone in the company’s 40-year history.

Changan Automobile’s 2025 targets, summarised as “3311,” include total sales of 3 million vehicles, revenue of 300 billion yuan, NEV sales of 1 million units, and exports of 1 million units.

In 2025, the automaker aims to serve 28 million users and move closer to its 30 million-user milestone.  This will include the rising population of users in the Nigerian market where the representative, Mikano Motors Ltd owns a modern assembly plant on the outskirts of Lagos.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at an awards ceremony organised by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association {NAJA} in Lagos, Changan CS55 was declared Nigeria’s Car of the Year, and the prize presented to Mikano Motors.

Looking ahead to 2030, Changan Automobile plans to achieve total sales of 5 million vehicles, with NEVs accounting for 3.5 million units and exports comprising 30 percent of the total.

The company is committed to establishing itself as a world-class automotive brand while its partner in Nigeria, Mikano Motors, has equally domesticated  the ambitious projection in the local market.
