•Dropped players rejoin squad
The Super Eagles B team have safely arrived in Uyo and will begin preparation for the CHAN qualification 2nd leg clash against Ghana on December 28, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The team’s first training session will take place later this evening at 6pm at the practice pitch of the Nest of Champions, Uyo.
The 8th African Nations Championship Qualifying return leg match between the Super Eagles-B of Nigeria and the Black Galaxies of Ghana will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Saturday, 28th December 2024, starting from 5pm.
The first leg ended goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the five dropped players are expected to rejoin the Super Eagles camp. 30 players were invited initially and it was reduced into 22 for the final preparation while 18 players traveled to Ghana for the first leg.
According to the update, the dropped players which include Samuel Ayorinde, Badmus Gbadamosi, Kazeem Ogunleye, Megwo Sunday and Temitope Vincent are expected to be in camp with the rest of the squad.
The first leg ended goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium and second leg is fixed for Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The winner over both legs will qualify for the competition proper.
