Chairman, Onitsha Market, Victor Nwawuzie has applauded organizers of the annual Food and Beverage West Africa exhibition which was staged at Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Nwawuzie, a top notch business icon, stated this at the opening ceremony of the three days show which saw exhibitors across the globe displayed goods and services from June 13th to 15th, 2023.
Having cut the ribbon on behalf of the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwoolu, Nwawuzie disclosed the show will help promote the country’s economy while serving as platform to exhibitors aiming to market their goods and services to targeted audience in the country. Nwawuzie further stated his unit, Onitsha market, will emerged pace setter for foreign food and beverage outfit aiming to base in Nigeria.
” I must confess, I’m impressed with what I’ve seen from foreign exhibitors. Their foods and beverages are world class and I think this will improve the standard of living here in Nigeria.
” I’ve had a taste of this foods and I can boldly say Nigerians will certainly settle for this in few days to come. Aside this, I’ll try my possible best making sure some of this items are visible at Nigeria largest market, Onitsha and I’m sure this will certainly wins the heart of the easterners.
” As for exhibitors flaunting their goods, I wish them the very best of luck and I must applaud them and the organizers for settling for a Lagos which we all know as the country’s home of economy. I wish you all happy exhibition,” he stated.
In a similar vein, Trade Fair Manager for Food and Beverage West Africa, Brad Smith, expressed gratitude over the warm welcome received by Nigerians who derived pleasure patronizing various outfit. He however hinted the organizer, BtoB Event, won’t relent making in its bid to promo the show to an enviable hight.
“We’ve done this in a significant way. I’m very happy extending the show to other pavilion within the hall. The Nigeria market has been favourable to all exbitors and this will inspire us towards doing more.
” Bringing various exhibitors across the globe haven’t been easy but I’m glad the response have been positive. We look towards achieving more in other show coming up in few months time and I hope it will supercede the current achievement we’ve seen today.”
Reacting to this, exhibitor, B&S assortment, Robin Koevoets, Business Development Executive of Ninja Foodstuff, Sunny Issrani, Deputy General Director, Richy Sweet For Life, Phan Van Minh, Export Manager, Saudi Master Baker Ltd, Lalappan M. Salas and host of others, applauded organizers of the 2023 edition while aiming big for forthcoming event scheduled for 2024.
