African Soccer governing body has sent information to the Nigeria Football Federation and other qualified countries about the number of players to be registered for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Each country was allowed to register 28 players for the last edition of the competition in Cameroon due to the effect of COVID-19.

On the continent football apex body on Thursday morning made it clear that it has reversed its decision on the squad list and that each country will be allowed to register 23 players.

For the third consecutive time, 24 countries will participate in the competition and the 2023 edition will kick off on the 13th of January 2024 to the 11th of February, 2024.
