Former president, Muhammadu Buhari, has paid tribute to Hajiya Aisa, mother of Ali Modu Sheriff, former governor of Borno State, highlighting her deep influence in shaping the character and the success of her children, saying she led a glorious life.
She died in Abuja at the age of 93 and was buried in Maiduguri.
“There is no greater loss than losing one’s mother. My condolences to Sherif and the larger Sherif family on the passing away of their mother. May Allah accept her good deeds.”
The former president dispatched a team, led by two of his former ministers, Mustapha Shehuri and Abubakar Aliyu, and a former presidential aide, Garba Shehu, to represent him at the third day prayers on Wednesday.
Buhari also extended his deep condolences to the Governor, Babagana Zulum, the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Al-Amin El-Kanemi and the entire people of the state on the loss of the prominent citizen.
