President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dauda Ali Biu as the acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), following the retirement of Boboye Oyeyemi, on July 24.
Until his elevation, Biu was the Deputy Corps Marshal, (DCM), Finance and Accounts.
The appointment was made known in a statement yesterday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem.
Meanwhile, the FRSC’s Board Chairman, Mallam Bukhari Bello has congratulated Biu and urged him to sustain the tempo of excellence.
Bello extolled Oyeyemi, especially for laying a good foundation and legacy and urged the Ag. CM to carry out the vision effectively.
On his part, the Ag. Corps Marshal appreciated the management of FRSC and the Presidency for the appointment pledging his diligence and zeal in carrying out the FRSC mandate effectively.
Biu pledged to sustain the mandate of FRSC in line with its objective.
He joined the FRSC in 1988 and has had a fruitful career working across several formations.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University and was the Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Finance and Accounts in 2014 before becoming the DCM in 2016.
