Team Nigeria will be competing in four relay events at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary.

The events are the men’s 4x100m to be executed by the quartet of Usheoritshe Itshekiri, Favour Ashe, Seye Ogunlewe, Alaba Akintola, Fakorede Adekalu and Karlington Anunagba.

Commonwealth Youth Games champion, Faith Okwose, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, Justina Eyakpobeyan and Success Umukoro will spearhead the women’s 4×100 meters event.

The ladies will also be expected to execute the women’s 4x100m event.

The 4x400m mixed events have Commonwealth Youth Games champion in 400 meters Samuel Ogazi, Chidi Okezie, Dubem Nwachukwu, Ezekiel Nathaniel Patience Okon -George, Imaobong Uko Nse and Ella Onojuvwevwo.

Meanwhile, Usheoritshe Itshekiri, Favour Ashe, Seye Ogunlewe are listed for the men’s 100m event. Alaba Akintola will race in the men’s 200m event, while Dubem Nwachukwu will race in the 400m events.

For the field events, See Brume and Ruth Usoro are listed for the Long Jump events, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi men’s Shot Put, Pamela Amaechi, Ashley Anumba and Chioma Onyekwere for Discuss events, while Sade Olatoye is listed for women’s Hammer event.

The World Championships is scheduled to be held from August 19 to 27.
