Excitement as Ogun allocates homes to more subscribers

More subscribers were on Tuesday allocated two and three bedroom bungalows in the Prince Court Estate, Kobape, Phase 3, Ogun State.

Commissioner for Housing Housing, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, said: “This is to bridge the gap of shortfalls in the allocation of housing units in the Phase 2 of the housing scheme.”

He explained that the new set of  allotees needed to be given priority as they were part of those subscribers who missed out in the allocation of about 100 units of homes  carried out mid-year.

Omoniyi added that the few remaining subscribers will be allocated their homes in the first quarter of 2025 at the eco-friendly built Phase 3 of the Prince Court Estate Kobape Scheme while the Phase 4 will also be unveiled due to popular demand for more affordable houses within same location.

The Commissioner, however, noted in the statement, that the new subscribers will pay a sum N3.5m as “a fair and subsidized  contribution for payment for provision of infrastructural facilities in the estate” as applicable to those in previous released batch.

The payment, according to him, is expected to be fully paid by the allotees within 60 days from the date  of allocation to enable be issued with final allocation letters from the Ministry of Housing.

He warned that failure by the  subscribers to adhere to this pre-allocation condition, will be deemed invalid and subject to withdrawal.

While reiterating the ministry’s commitment to continue to deliver on the housing policy of Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, the Commissioner submitted that other housing schemes such the Gateway Aviation Village, Iperu-Remo, GRA Regeneration Scheme in Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode and Ilaro as well as PMB Estate, are positioned for official commissioning in the new year.
