The Taraba State Chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress NLC Mr Peter Gambo is dead.
Gambo died in the early hours of Wednesday at the state’s Specialist hospital Jalingo.
The state commissioner of health Dr Innocent Vakkai who confirmed the death to Daily Sun said that, contrary to some erroneous media reports, Gambo died of diabetes and not COVID-19.
Vakkai said that though Gambo had been on admission at the state’s Specialist hospital Jalingo, he was tested of COVID-19 and his result came back negative.
Peter Gambo, until his death, was serving his second term as NLC chairman, Taraba State.
