On Sunday, Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced that the price of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, has been reduced to ₦970 per litre for oil marketers.

The price reduction was revealed in a statement released by the company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.

According to Chiejina, the decision is Dangote Refinery’s way of appreciating Nigerians “for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true”.

In the statement shared on X, it was added that the reduction is a cut from the refinery’s ₦990 ex-depot price announced earlier in November.

“In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being.
