Commissioner of Police Borno State, Naziru Abdulmajid, has warned criminals to stay away, promising them baptism of fire. Already 210 suspected criminals were arrested in their hideouts: “I am committed to upholding the highest standard of professionalism, integrity and accountability.

“My mission is to ensure peace. We are going to imbibe community policing and apply professionalism in discharging our duties. I visited the flashpoints deployed some operatives of the tactical team to strategic areas to ensure safety. We are working with other security agencies, vigilance groups and hunters to complement our efforts.

“I warned officers to shun corruption, illegal duties and illegal detention. They personnel should be disciplined professionals and respect fundamental rights of citizens.

“Our officers should conduct themselves with decorum and alertness to promote intelligence policing, proactive crime prevention strategies and community engagement. Police Rapid Response Squad with other sister security agencies are involved in raids, surveillance, stop-and-search exercise.
