Borno State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has raised the alarm over alleged threat to their lives in the state.
Its chairman, Zanna Gaddama, at a press conference in Abuja, called on security agencies to intervene to ensure relative peace in the state and ward off the threat on its members by the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in the state.
He also called on Governor Babagana Zulum to create a conducive atmosphere before, during and after next year’s general elections.
“We want to draw the attention of Nigerians, and more particularly security agencies on the threat to peace and security being planned by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Borno State Chapter. While all hands are on deck by both leadership and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to eradicate poverty, redeem people from hardship, put an end to insecurity and bad governance in Borno State, some people from APC are making frantic efforts to drag the state back to the dark days of insecurity.
“The people of Borno and more particularly members and supporters of our party the PDP are shocked to hear these open threats to their lives.
