Former National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has formally resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the resignation letter he wrote to the Chairman of his PDP ward Ubandawaki, Kwara State and made available to newsmen on Monday, he did not however state reason prompting his leaving the opposition party.
While describing it as a difficult decision, the former Minister of Youth and Sports Development commended the leadership of the party for the opportunity to serve the party.
Although Abdullahi did not indicate his next move on the party he will join, there are serious speculations that he might rejoin the ruling party.
The letter read: “I want to formally resign my membership of the PDP. I have had ample time to reflect and I have come to the difficult conclusion that this is only tenable for me this time.
“Mr Chairman, please permit me to express, through you, my gratitude to the leadership of the party for the opportunities that I have had to serve the state and the country on its platform and for the great moments we have shared,” the resignation letter read.
