Daughter of popular actor and Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Anambra State on Creative Media, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Elyon Chinaza Udokwu has been crowned African Queen 2016 at an event which held on June 16 at the gymnasium of Queens College, Lagos; during the celebration of this year’s Day of The African Child.

Elyon, an SSS 2 student who rep­resented the country of Guinea at the pageant, beat all other contestants who represented other African countries to clinch the crown. Udokwu and wife, Cassandra, expressed delight at the development and Elyon said she would use the platform to up­hold the ideal of the event by advocating for childrens’ rights and welfare.
