The Executive Chairman of Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, yesterday received the women wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State chapter, at the Board’s headquarters in Makurdi.

The delegation, led by the state APC Women Leader, Mrs. Helen Agaigbe, visited to express solidarity with Dr. Adagba and commend her leadership.

Dr. Adagba described the visit as a moment of great joy, stating, “Today is the happiest day of my life, having the great women of Benue State here.”

She praised the APC leadership for its patience and support, which she noted, had strengthened her administration. The SUBEB Chairman encouraged the women to organise political awareness workshops across the three geo-political zones of the state, emphasising that the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iornem Alia has revitalised political engagement in Benue.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Agaigbe assured Adagba of their unwavering support. “We are here to let you know that you have thousands of women standing behind you, even beyond Benue State. Fear not; we are always with you,” she stated.

She further lauded Governor Alia for appointing a woman to lead SUBEB, acknowledging the significant progress recorded under Adagba’s leadership.

“The APC women stand firmly with the governor. His administration is like a moving train, and we must align ourselves with it to reach the Promised Land,” she added, urging all Benue women to support the governor’s development Agenda.

The delegation of the APC women of Benue State also include, Member Dekera, Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the Governor on Township  Beautification, Mrs Mary Yisa, SSA on Public Relations and Politics and Kukase Garba (women.)

As a token of appreciation, the women presented Adagba with the group’s uniforms and gifts.

In a vote of thanks, the Director of Administration and Supply at SUBEB, Mrs. Juliana Agbo, commended the group for their visit and highlighted the importance of increasing women’s participation in politics.
