The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has elected new executives to run its affairs in Benue State in its determination to reposition the party to produce the next governor of the state come 2023.

The election which held recently in Aliade Town, Gwer East Local Government area of the state threw up Paul Salem emerged as State Chairman of the party while Ene Odoh emerged as State Secretary.

In his acceptance speech after being sworn into office by the party’s legal adviser, Barrister Regina Okwori, the newly elected state Chairman, pledged the determination of his leadership to work hard to produce the governor of the state come 2023.

One of the party faithful, Torkuma Oke, who spoke to newsmen after the election commended the maturity that was displayed by all members of the party who were drawn from the three Senatorial districts during the Congress.

Also speaking, Francis Alechenu stated that the desire of most members of the party has now been realized by the peaceful Congress as politicians can now seek alternative platform in APGA.

“This is the change that the people of Benue have been waiting for and APGA is going to be a party to reckon with in the 2023 gubernatorial election,” Alechenu said.

Ada Ochagwuba who spoke on behalf of all APGA Local Government Chairmen applauded the process of the election which he noted was free and fair, said they have all agreed to work hand in hand for the greater good of the state.
