Reality TV star, Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo aka Cross, has delved into the depths of his life, laying his thoughts on family, relationships and future aspirations.
During a therapy session with MC/host, Hero Daniels, Cross spoke passionately about his family, emphasising their pivotal role as the bedrock of his life. He unequivocally stated that he values his family’s opinions above the chatter of social media.
Cross, who rose to stardom in 2021 as a housemate in the Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season 6, addressed the misconceptions surrounding his brand and acknowledged the perceptions of being a ‘bad boy’ and ‘womaniser’.
However, Cross unveiled a different facet of his personality, highlighting that he is, in fact, a sweet and reserved individual – a side that resonated with viewers in the recent BBNaija All-Stars season.
The reality star opened up on his journey in love, revealing that despite being a committed and loving individual, he has encountered heartaches that led him to adopt the ‘bad boy’ persona. He underscored his unwavering commitment and faithfulness when in love, challenging the stereotype that ‘bad boys’ cannot be good guys in committed relationships.
Sharing tales of his most poignant heartbreak, Cross recounted a relationship where he faced a cold and abrupt breakup. “It was a challenging period for me, marked by fears of the unknown, familial disappointment, and the fear of not investing myself in someone. Financial instability and broader concerns for humanity’s future also weigh heavily on my mind,” he recalled.
Cross, however, expressed optimism for the future, stressing the importance of Nigerians and Africans embracing technological advancements, especially in a digitally evolving world.
Discussing his interests, the former Big Brother housemate revealed a passion for business as a diversified income stream. While he finds joy in acting as a form of leisure, he desires to explore more avenues within the entertainment industry.
Cross’ unfiltered narrative provides a glimpse into the layers beneath the charismatic exterior, showcasing a man navigating the complexities of life, love and personal growth.
But as Cross forges ahead, one thing is clear – his journey is marked by resilience, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to self-discovery.
