Bauchi State Police Command has arrested 12 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers with some sophisticated weapons. Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori Aliyu, said: “We have smoked out hoodlums from their hideouts. There have been a proactive security measures to enhance safety and security.

“We have convened a meeting to rejig the command top brass for effective performance in view of this Sallah.  I have held meeting with Area Commanders, DPOs, HODs and tactical commanders to review and reinforce existing security framework, while developing a comprehensive operational plan to ensure seamless Sallah celebration.

“Police operatives arrested five suspects and recovered a quantity of adulterated herbicides at their residence in Magaji quarters, Bauchi. Items recovered included six bags of suspected adulterated fertilizer, 46 bottles of suspected adulterated herbicides such as 38 empty cartons of assorted herbicides, one empty jerry can and five spoons.

“Suspected armed robbers terrorising Bauchi axis were arrested. Police also arrested a suspect for murder and rape. He confessed to the crime and was charged to court.
