Spirit in camp high – Green

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr has charged his boys to go all out for the three points in Sunday’s Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia, though he understands that Chipolopolo will not be an easy side.
Rohr spoke yesterday, just as the chairman of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF Chris Green expressed delight over the spirit in camp.
The team has intensified preparations for the battle of Ndola with a friendly yesterday against Plateau United, winning 3-0 courtesy of goals from Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi and Anderson Esiti.
“The team has been concentrating on the challenge at hand against the Chipolopolo of Zambia on Sunday. The Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr said he’s expecting a difficult match against Zambia but has charged the players to go all out for the three points,” the team’s media officer, Toyin Ibitoye said.
On his part, Chris Green is happy with the mood in the camp of Super Eagles ahead of the encounter against Zambia.
Green told Daily Sunsports yesterday that the players are all in high spirit and concentrating fully on the match.
“As we speak, I must confess to you that I m happy with the situation in camp. The players are in high spirit and they quite appreciate the challenges the NFF is facing. They are concentrating fully on the game. I think we have a bunch of players that are motivated by the fact that they want to be at the World Cup come 2018,” Green said.
Meanwhile, soccer fans wishing to buy tickets for the Zambia versus Nigeria should take note that sales will only be done in all Shoprite stores and Post Offices in Lusaka, Kabwe and Copperbelt.
Under the new system there will be no ticket sales at the stadium, a move that marks a departure from a corrupt ridden black market where officials used to hoard tickets for re-sale on the black market at exorbitant prices.
The encounter which is billed for the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola will kick off at 2.30pm Zambian time and 1.30pm Nigerian time.
