Co-founder, World Evangelism Inc.(WEBIC), Prophetess Mercy Ayorinde, has lost her mother, Deaconess Ruth Aminat Olorunfemi Ogungbamiwa, aged 90 years. 

Mrs. Ayorinde broke the news in a statement in Lagos. “My mother died in Abuja while visiting my two siblings who live in the federal capital city. She took ill and was admitted into hospital. She had been living with me since 1998.”

On the burial of mama, she said a week-long event will start on August 19 with commendation service at WEBIC International Headquarters in Ojota, Lagos. Thereafter, the wake will be held in her residence in Ibafo, Ogun State. Her corpse would leave Abuja for her hometown in Kogi State

  “We shall hold a Thanksgiving Service in the church’s headquarters in Lagos on August 25th,” she said.

  Extolling mama Ogungbamiwa’s virtues, Ayorinde said she was born a Muslim but gave her life to Christ in 1998 when she came to nurse her child in 1997. She became a prayer warrior and engaged herself in many duties in the church. “Mama partnered my mother-in-law in prayers. In her Christian journey, she visited Jerusalem in Israel. She was with me at the WEBIC South Africa branch.”

  Ayorinde said in her mother’s honour, she plans to build a hostel in her hometown close to a praying mountain which will host visitors.
