The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) are partnering to host the forthcoming Nigeria international air show scheduled for 2025.

According to Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister, Tunde Moshood, the decision was made during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo at his office in Abuja.

During the visit, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar revealed that NAF had been independently planning its air show before he got wind of the Ministry’s similar initiative, realizing that a united approach would significantly enhance the event’s impact and reinforce its global appeal.

Mr. Keyamo lauded the Chief of Air Staff’s foresight and his gesture of collaboration, describing it as a critical step towards showcasing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace capabilities to the world.

The Minister highlighted the importance of synergy between the Ministry and the Nigerian Air Force in achieving shared objectives.

To ensure the seamless planning and execution of the event, the duo jointly announced the establishment of an eight-member committee.

The committee which comprising representatives from both the Ministry and the NAF, has been tasked with coordinating all aspects of the air show, including logistics, international collaborations, and stakeholders’ engagement.

The 2025 Nigeria international air show is expected to attract global players in aviation and aerospace, including manufacturers, investors, regulators, and enthusiasts.
