At a recent operational visit to the 167 Special Forces Battalion at Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri Abuja, Major General Hillary Nzan, Commander of the 4 Special Forces Command Nigerian Army, emphasised the importance of qualities such as courage, dedication, resilience, and confidence.
A statement sent by Major Joseph Afolashade, Army Deputy Director, Public Relations at Doma Special Forces, sent to Daily Sun on Tuesday, stated that Major General Hillari Nzan while addressing the troops urged them to unite as a cohesive force, transcending tribal, regional, and religious differences. He highlighted how the Nigerian Army has brought them together under a common cause.
In addition to his motivational words, the Commander advised the troops to stay away from harmful substances and to avoid any involvement in criminal activities, underlining the importance of maintaining their integrity and discipline.
The Commander’s visit included a comprehensive briefing on the battalion’s accomplishments by Acting Commanding Officer, Major Temipre Ezonfade. Major Temipre highlighted the battalion’s achievements, showcasing their commitment to excellence and their contributions to national security.
“The visit’s high points encompassed a detailed tour of the Cantonment, an impressive display by the battalion’s troops, an inspiring address to the troops by Major General Hillary, a formal signing of the visitor’s book, presentation of souvenirs, and a commemorative group photograph,” he added.
