….lauds Kebbi NOA on maiden retreat

The National Publicity Secretary of Arewa Consultative Forum, Professor Tukur M. Baba has noted that the Nigerian economy and insecurity could be improved and better off,if the elites in the country believed in the existence of the country.
Baba stated this during the maiden edition of the 2025 special retreat organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kebbi State on the development of an annual operational plan and an office management plan.
The Arewa Consultative Spokesman, who praised the initiative of the State Director of the NOA, Mallam Nasir Karofi,noted that young Nigerians like him, still have alot of sacrifices to render to the nation’s growth and development inspite of economy and insecurity challenges.
According to him, “if you are looking for popularity, integrity is number one, truthfulness,track record,take a pride in your work and take time to plan. And the basic foundation of all these is what we call core values.
“Values for us in Sociologists are ideals in your heart especially on what you are doing rights and wrongs.What is worthy of pursuing and what is worthy of avoiding.
“If you value life,you will not kill anybody. If you value achievements,you will always be hard working. If you value education,you will take it seriously. No society can move forward without all these values.
“Believe me, things are difficult in Nigeria. Economy is highly challenging, insecurity too. And most elites don’t believed in the existence of Nigeria. That is one of our problem in the country”.
He noted that the country would be better of if all citizens believe in the country and realized that there was no where they could go except Nigeria just as Americans believed in their country.
Earlier, the State Director of NOA,Mallam Nasir Karofi in his welcome address,commended the DG of NOA, Mallam Lanre Onilu for given the State the opportunity to organize the retreat for the staff.
He noted that with the patriotic leaders like NOA DG and that of Kebbi State which has been supporting him,, Nigeria, with collective responsibilities would be great among the commity of the nations.
The former State Director of NOA in Kebbi state,Alhaji Umar Abubakar Babuga, commended the foresight of the new State Director of the agency for organizing the retreat,stressed that with their cooperation,the agency would succeed in it agenda.
