The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has threatened to suspend warring bigwigs in Ezza North and Ezza South local government areas.
Stakeholders of the party in the two LGAs including National Assembly members, local government chairmen, commissioners and other government officials have been locked in supremacy battle which has metamorphosed into public altercations.
The party warned that it would sanction the warring stakeholders by suspending them from the party if they failed to sheath their swords.
The state chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, said the party has summoned the warring chieftains to a meeting this week after which they would be suspended from the party if they continue the fight.
“We must go according to the guidelines of the party. If you are troublesome and don’t like to be with us, we will give you a suspension and you will go and wait.
“We cannot allow this party to be in crisis and jeopardise the effort we are making in the party and the effort of the governor.
“We will open our arms to receive whosoever that wants to join the party,” he stated.
