The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje announced the decision at the APC National Summit in Aso Rock, Abuja, on Thursday, aligning with endorsements from the APC Progressive Governors Forum and National Assembly.
Moreover, Ganduje praised Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stating, “I will like to once more appreciate our leader and mentor, Bola Tinubu, for all the modest successes been recorded just in two years under the Renewed Hope Agenda and will like to urge all participants to give a standing ovation to Mr. President as an endorsement to contest the 2027 General Election.”
He added, “As the only body that has the power to field any candidate, I hereby affirm the various endorsements and declare President Bola Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of APC.”
Ganduje outlined strategies for 2027, including grassroots mobilisation and training, saying, “These off-season contests are not just about states; they are a reflection of our national momentum and a rehearsal for total victory in 2027.”
He urged unity, warning, “Let us resist internal sabotage and remain focused.”
He emphasised party reforms, stating, “We cannot go into the future divided, unprepared, or reactive.” Ganduje highlighted APC’s dominance, noting, “We are gradually transforming the APC from an electoral force into a governing institution.”
He rallied members as “Ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda”, aiming to deepen democracy and development.
