Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has commiserated with the General Secretary of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Iyobosa Uwugiaren, over the death of his father, Uwugiaren Enabulele.
In a statement signed by Okpebholo, the governorship candidate said from the various condolence messages so far, it is obvious Enabulele was a worthy community leader in Urhonigbe town of Edo State.
He said though he died at the ripe age of 102 years, Enabulele, who was the Odionwere of Idunwem-Egbo, Urhonigbe in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, will not be forgotten. Okpebholo prayed to God to grant the family, his community and well-wishers the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Uwugiaren, editor, Nation’s Capital/member, Editorial Board of Thisday Newspapers and NGE general secretary, is a worthy son of Edo State.
“The demise of his father at a time his wisdom is needed, is unfortunate. As humans, we cannot question God. We can only pray to Him to come to the aid of his family at this trying time.
“APC family in Edo State and people of the state will stand firmly with the family at this very difficult time. May papa’s soul rest in peace, amen.”
