The Arewa Forum for Peaceful Coexistence has passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The national president of the body, Bature Haruna and the Federal Capital Territory Coordinator of the group, Mark Okpanachi Ogah, while briefing journalists in Abuja, said the decision to pass a vote  of confidence on Ganduje followed a careful and objective assessment of his leadership since his assumption of office in August 2023.

The group also said under Ganduje’s direction, the APC had recorded major electoral victories in four out of five off-cycle governorship elections in Kogi, Imo, Edo, and Ondo states.

“These wins are not mere coincidences, but a clear testament to the focused, strategic, and unifying leadership style of Dr. Ganduje.

The group further said as leaders and stakeholders of the Arewa Forum for Peaceful Coexistence, they had watched with pride, how Ganduje’s leadership had strengthened the base of the party in several regions, including the Federal Capital Territory.

“We commend his openness, calm resolve, and relentless drive to keep the APC united and forward-moving. It is for these reasons that we are standing here today to express our total and unwavering support for him.

“We equally want to thank the APC National Chairman and the party leadership for their democratic principles and inclusivity by advising the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to appoint the FCT Minister, His Excellency Nyesom Wike, into the federal cabinet.

“The FCT Minister has demonstrated that his love for Nigeria transcends political affiliations. Despite not being a member of the APC, he has exemplified a rare spirit of nationalism and service.

Within just eleven months in office, he has brought remarkable transformation to the Federal Capital Territory, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.”
