Ahead of the April 5th All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Anambra State governorship election, a registered party’s support group under the auspices of APC Youths Progressive Forum (YPF) has urged the national leadership of the party to ensure the emergence of former House of Representatives member, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, as the party’s candidate.
The group claimed that it took time to access all the seven aspirants before arriving at the choice of Ukachukwu as the one capable of defeating the incumbent All Progressive Grand Alliance-led administration in Anambra State.
Addressing a press conference Tuesday in Abuja, Chairman of the forum, Amb. Sani Mohammed, claimed that Ukachukwu’s unique blend of credentials, leadership qualities, and commitment to the welfare of Anambra State’s residents positions him as a top choice for the party’s nomination.
The group noted: “Prince Ukachukwu is a force to be reckoned with in the APC ticket contest. His impressive track record, charisma, and political influence make him a valuable asset to the party, with the potential to lead the APC to victory.
“Ukachukwu’s dedication to empowering young people and his vision for the state’s future resonate deeply with the youth, making him a strong contender for the APC ticket. We are glad to address you today on the need for the APC to take firm stands in the forthcoming Anambra State gubernatorial elections.
“We believe it’s essential for the party to return the state to the centre by supporting credibility and capacity, where Prince Ukachukwu stands out. By doing so, the APC can demonstrate its commitment to good governance and the development of Anambra State.
“We urge all APC members and supporters to join us in endorsing Prince Ukachukwu as our candidate for the November 2025 governorship election. Together, we can make a difference and bring about a new era of prosperity and development to Anambra State by ensuring the party’s victory at the polls.
“With Prince Ukachukwu at the helm, we are confident that Anambra State will experience a new era of growth and development. His vision for the state, which includes agricultural advancement, healthcare reforms, education, security, and infrastructure development, will bring about a brighter future for all Anambrarians.
“The APC YPF is proud to endorse Prince Ukachukwu as our candidate for the November 2025 gubernatorial election.
