Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has appointed retired Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Adekunle Omoyele, as the new Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps.

Amotekun is a security outfit jointly formed by the governors of Southwest to complement the efforts of the federal government in tackling insecurity.
Idowu noted that Omoyele was a former Chief Security Officer to Governor Adeleke after his retirement from the police.
“He retired recently after meritorious service to the Nigeria Police for 35 years and was appointed by Governor Ademola Adeleke as the Special Adviser on Internal Security and Local Matters, now the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps,” Idowu said.
He disclosed that the appointment of Omoyele takes immediate effect.
