The Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved the appointment of Kpenkaan Johnpaul as the executive secretary of Benue Investment Promotion Agency, (BENIPA).
Kpenkaan is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Before his present appointment, he had worked as technical adviser to the Managing Director of Benue Investment and Property Company, where he chaired the Central Planning Committee and oversaw the successful hosting of the maiden Benue Local Investors Forum in December 2023.
During his tenure as director general of the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce, he secured accreditation from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
He also pioneered the development of the Academy for MSMEs that transformed entrepreneurial training across 22 states in Nigeria during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, said he is expected to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on the new assignment.
