Political appointees of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have convened a stakeholders’ meeting, raising a total of ₦3.5 million for the furnishing and maintenance of the party’s office in the area.
The gathering, spearheaded by Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Yakubu Kwanta, witnessed a remarkable display of solidarity and commitment to the party’s growth.
Dr. Kwanta, popularly known as Gamji Mada, expressed his elation at the patriotic gesture, emphasizing the significance of the funds raised for the APC. He underscored the stakeholders’ commitment to consolidating support for the present administration, led by Governor Abdullahi Sule, in propelling the state towards progress and development.
Chief Whip of the State Assembly, Larry Ven-Bawa, and ACReSAL Coordinator, Napoleon Elias Gyobe, echoed Dr. Kwanta’s sentiments, urging stakeholders to continue supporting the party financially for its growth and sustainability. They emphasized the pivotal role of grassroots support in strengthening the APC’s presence both locally and statewide.
Alhaji Liman Abbas, APC chairman of Akwanga, shed light on the purpose of the meeting, emphasizing the need to furnish not only the party’s office at the local government headquarters but also those in all 11 electoral wards within the area.
The event saw the participation of prominent figures such as Mr. Randolph Para, a retired permanent secretary, and Andrew Yakubu, the head of Comprehensive Special School, Lafia, among others. Their presence further solidified the unity and determination exhibited by the APC stakeholders towards advancing the party’s agenda in Akwanga and beyond.
