From Isaac Job, Uyo
Apostle Dr John Okoriko, founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, has urged Nigerian youths to focus on entrepreneurship rather than relying on politicians for survival.
Speaking in Uyo, the televangelist emphasised that success is possible despite systemic corruption.
“You can do yourselves a good thing by doing something that helps you first before you think about people in authority,” Okoriko said, encouraging youths to ensure their own financial stability. He advised, “Create your niche… have your own product or services and walk towards achieving your goals.”
Okoriko, who overcame poverty to build a church with over 200 branches, shared his journey: “I had no body, no education, and I had no connection… I fought the fear – mentally, physically, spiritually.” He likened his resolve to Esther’s, saying, “If I perish, I perish.”
He warned against fear, stating, “The fear of death is one of the greatest fears. There is glory in death if you die in a good cause.”
Okoriko urged youths to pursue their dreams independently, citing his own rise from humble beginnings to leading a major ministry.
The Solid Rock Kingdom Church, established in Akwa Ibom, promotes empowerment through its over 200 branches nationwide.
