Kinsmen of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) Senator  George Akume, have hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership style so far, saying his appointments have engendered political inclusion of all sections of the country.

They made this observation at a meeting of traditional rulers, opinion leaders, and stakeholders of Jemgbagh land held at the palace of the Tor Jemgbagh, His Royal Highness Afatyo Ajoko, in Gboko LGA of the state.

The leaders from the Jemgbagh geopolitical enclave of Benue State, who spoke highly of the president’s moves in office so far, appreciated him for giving every section of the country a sense of belonging through his recent appointments.

They reaffirmed their support for the administration and also resolved to give their son and brother, Akume, every support and cooperation he would need to effectively discharge his duties to the nation.

Speaking, the Tor Jemgbagh, HRH Afatyo Ajoko, cautioned the people against politics of acrimony and mudslinging and advised the political class to eschew bitterness and rancor.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the meeting, Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboko LGA, Mr Eric Anumeh, noted that politicians were overheating the polity in the scramble for ministerial appointments.

Anumeh lambasted those calling on President Tinubu not to consider Benue ministerial nominees who were from the Benue North West district because Akume is also from the same zone.

He recalled that when Senator David Mark was Senate President, Comrade wwwAbba Moro from the same Benue South constituency was Minister of Interior, adding that those making the call were doing so out of ignorance.
