Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, returned, alone, to Nigeria, after a one week visit to her husband, who is on medical leave in the United Kingdom (UK).
Aisha went to join her hisband, 23 days after he left for the UK.
“Her Excellency will spend some time with her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, who is presently on medical vacation,” the one-paragraph statement had read.
She, however, brought glad tidings from the UK, that the presidente is recuperating fast.
Mrs. Buhari, on arrival yesterday, conveyed the appreciation of the president to Nigerians over their constant prayers for his health and that he will soon be with them as “he is recuperating fast.”
She called on Nigerians to continue to be strong in the face of challenges and to support the Federal Government in implementing the agenda for which they were elected.
In a statement by her Director of Information, Suleiman Haruna, Mrs. Buhari said: “Mr. President thanked the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for his loyalty and called on Nigerians to continue to support the acting president in his effort to actualise the mandate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
