Chief Executive Officer of Dotty Worldwide Entertainment (DWE), Mr Derek Odaro, has said that the Afrobeat music has brought so much pride to Nigerians in foreign lands as it has changed their credibility abroad.

Odaro, a British born business mogul, made the revelation on Monday, while speaking with journalists in Lagos about the readiness of the company to sign more artistes into its fold in 2023.

He explained that the company was looking forward to signing more talented artistes by the summer of 2023, even as he noted that the energy and vibes brought by the artistes as well as the drive to succeed would be considered in signing them.

“We are looking forward to signing one or two more artistes by summer 2023. I look at the energy, and the vibes they will bring. I need artistes that have style and drive to succeed.

“Nigeria music is doing us proud; it is globally recognised. Growing up in the United Kingdom, it was not cool to be an African. Some of our brothers classify themselves as Jamaicans, but now because of the way Afro beat has taken over the world, we are proud to be Nigerians. This is a great achievement, and we have to keep the hardwork going,” said Odaro.

Currently, he manages Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) artist ‘B Red’. He was one of the executive producers of the body of work entitled, ‘Goof music for Bad days’ album. The EP features artistes like Davido, Seyi Vibes, Efya, and Jay wills.

Dotty worldwide entertainment Limited is a music management company duly registered in United Kingdom and Nigeria.

The company manages musicians, actors and models, so as to enhance their careers as well as to publish, distribute and promote their works.
