The annual African Gold Merit Awards (AGMA) and lecture titled, “Nigerians, where do we go from here after 58 years of independence”, organised by Afrikanwatch Media will hold on April 6, under the distinguished chairmanship of Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe, Rector, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, and Mr. Dennis Amachree (MON), a retired Assistant Director of the Department of State Security Service, (DSS) as guest speaker.
The recipients of the awards according to the Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Mark Columbus Orgu, are some astute Nigerians who have made indelible marks on the sands of time. Among them are: Engr. Femi Omokungbe, Afrikanwatch Man of the Year, Prof. Sola Fosudo, Afrikanwatch Philanthropist and Personality of the Year, Professor Emeritus (Capt.) Atte Oloruntoba Timothy, Afrikanwatch Outstanding Senior Legal Scholar and Arbitrator of the Year, Olorogun (Barr) Benson Ndakara and Etobum (Dr) Samson U. Samson, Afrikanwatch Most Resourceful Community Leader of the Year, CP. Tunde Ladipo: Afrikanwatch Most Productive Security Expert of the Year, Dr. Samuel Fasanmi, Afrikanwatch Dynamic Researcher and Orator of the Year. Others are Dr. Wahab Ademola Azeez, for his strategic contributions to technical education and research, Seagul Security Company Ltd, and Waltolye Maritime Company.”
While the special guests of honour include Senator Anthony Adefuye, Gen. (Dr) Oviemo Ovadje retd OFR, Col. N. Shobo retd and others.
