Afia TV, Nigeria’s first regional television channel based in Enugu, has landed in Lagos.
Founded by Chief Emeka Mba, who doubles as the chief executive officer, Afia TV is available on DStv Channel 254, GOtv Channel 17, and FreeTV 748. Its twin platform, Afia Radio 99.3FM, which is streaming online via www.afia993fm.com, has emerged the number one urban radio station in Enugu State.
A veteran journalist and media entrepreneur, Emeka Mba has served in various capacities across media, technology and entertainment, as well as in regulatory policy management. He has held different enviable positions including the Director General/Chief Executive Officer, National Broadcasting Commission; Director General/Chief Executive Officer, National Film & Video Censors Board, and Content, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Multichoice Nigeria where he conceived and facilitated the launch of the Africa Magic channel on the DStv bouquet.
