Karim Adeyemi has turned down a chance to join Napoli from Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund accepted a €45 million bid by Napoli, but Adeyemi opted to stay put at the Bundesliga club.
SkySports journalist Pietro Nicolodi said Adeyemi was wrong to reject the transfer.
“It seems strange to me that the player decided to stay,” he said.
“Antonio Conte could really turn his career around.
Adeyemi is a player who is a bit injury-prone and inconsistent but when he is in good shape, he is a cracker.
“He plays amazing games, and when he has the ball at his feet he can do whatever he wants.
“Selling Adeyemi now seems like complete madness to me, Dortmund cannot allow him to go.”
