…As country passes through challenging economic period

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has encouraged professionals, entrepreneurs, and all key players in Nigeria’s economy to sustain faith in God and commit to monthly prayer and spiritual reflection as a pathway to national economic transformation.

For there to be a revival of the Nigerian economy, he highlighted the importance of faith and unity during the present challenging economic period in the country. The cleric stressed the need for all stakeholders in the economy to seek divine intervention through a monthly prayer program organized by the church.

Speaking through his Special Assistant, Pastor Oladele Balogun, who was represented by Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, Assistant Provincial Pastor in charge of Administration, Region 1, Adeboye stressed the need for all stakeholders in the economy to seek divine intervention through a monthly prayer program organized by the church.

The program, tagged “Divine Opportunities”, is held every month at RCCG’s National Headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos. It is open to all economic stakeholders including public and private sector employees, entrepreneurs, job seekers, members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), oil company staff, union members, and professionals across various sectors.

According to Pastor Adeboye, the objective of the initiative is to pray for the restoration and expansion of Nigeria’s economy, while also asking God to open doors to new and transformative opportunities. “Our nation needs transformation into the realm of divine opportunities,” he said. “Through prayers and faith, we can trigger a spiritual turnaround for Nigeria.”

As the July 2025 edition of the prayer session scheduled for Sunday, July 6, he urged G is calling on all Nigerians, particularly those in leadership and business, to join in seeking God’s intervention. Pastor Macaulay reiterated the importance of engaging in such national prayers, explaining that economic recovery is possible if citizens rise above doubt and begin to think and act positively.

“Our nation is going through trying times,” he said, “but we must not lose hope. The challenges before us are not insurmountable.

If we exercise faith, without entertaining doubt, we can overcome them. Nigerians must learn to speak positively, believe in divine possibilities, and act with hope.”

The monthly prayer gathering continues to serve as a spiritual rallying point for national hope, with RCCG reinforcing its role as both a religious and socio-spiritual partner in Nigeria’s journey to economic stability.
