Popular Nigerian skit maker, Osuoha Destiny Prince better known as Mazi Okeke has disclosed how famous Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh, Victor Osuagwu, and the late Sam Loco Efe inspired his career.
The fast-rising comedian and content creator made this known in a recent chat with our reporter.
Unlike many of his colleagues who might be inspired into the comedy business by a senior colleague, Mazi Okeke noted that his inspiration came from top Nollywood actors who made waves in the industry for decades.
“The truth is no skit maker inspired me or inspires me but some actors do. Actors like Nkem Owoh popularly known as Osuofia, and Victor Osuagwu are actors that inspire my acting and the legendary Sam loco Efe may his soul Rest In Peace” said Mazi Okeke.
Mazi Okeke who has been making waves in the comedy and skit-making industry for over four years also gave some tips on how to stay top in the game and what influences his skits, he said “Becoming famous is easier than staying famous, I don’t know if you understand though but I mean going to the top is easier than staying at the top. A lot of people who have been at the top are nowhere to be found, you know why because they got there and they relaxed. To make it in anything you are doing you need to be consistent, you don’t even need to be too funny but consistency is everything so when you get to the top that same thing you did before you got there you need to double up the pace because any little mistake you’ll be forgotten. And what inspires my skits are my environment and real-life situations” he said.
