The National Executive Committee (NEC) of Accord Party, has fired its factional Chairman, Rev. Isaac Adeniyi, former Ex-officio Member, Innocent Igbokwe, former Zonal Vice Chairman South-East and Prince James Joseph Itiaba.

Their expulsion was contained in a communique signed by the National Secretary, Adebukola Abiola Ajaja, after chieftains of party met yesterday in Abuja.

Ajala accused them of gross misconduct, insubordination and breach of the party’s constitution

According to her, the NEC passed a vote of confidence on the National Caretaker Committee of the Party led by Muhammad Lawal Nalado.

“The highest organ of the Party NEC has passed a vote of confidence on the National Caretaker Committee of the Party led by Hon. Muhammad Lawal Nalado.

“That the NEC Meeting was well attended. That having received the report of the Disciplinary Committee set up by NEC to look into the expulsion of Rev. Isaac Adeniyi and Innocent Igbokwe from their various wards respectively, NEC hereby ratified their expulsion from the Party with immediate effect.

“Prince James Joseph Itiaba, the Disciplinary Committee found James guilty of Gross Misconduct, Insubordination and Breach of the Party Constitution, therefore NEC ratified his expulsion from the Party;

“NEC hereby directs that Rev. Isaac Adeniyi, former Ex-officio Member, Innocent Igbokwe, former Zonal Vice Chairman South-East and Prince James Joseph Itiaba, former Caretaker Vice Chairman, South-South having been expelled from the party and are hereby directed to return all Party properties in their possession to the National Secretariat.

“Dated this day 15th of September, 2022 in Abuja.”
