The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, has arrested 40-year-old Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji over the alleged kidnapping and killing of an 80-year-old man, Alhaji Abba, in Eruwa Oyo State.
Parading the suspect the Command Public Relations Officer, Olasunkanmi Ayeni, said the victim was killed by the kidnappers after ransom has been collected.
He said the suspect was arrested through shared information with the Nigeria Police Force.
Mr Ayeni explained that Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji was arrested in Banni in Kiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
He noted the Police in Oyo State had already arrested three of the suspects over the alleged crime.
The NSCDC spokesman said efforts are on to arrest the remaining fleeing suspects.

He maintained that the victim, Alhaji Abba, had earlier reported the suspect Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji to one Alhaji Isiaka of the possibility of his kidnapping.
Ayeni said the suspect will be transferred to Oyo State as soon as Investigations are concluded for prosecution.
In an interview with newsmen the suspect, Boodo Abdullahi admitted that the victim, Alhaji Abba had earlier reported him to Alhaji Isiaka over suspicion of being kidnapped.
He denied being involved in the crime.
He said his imprisonment at Agodi prison in Oyo State was based on alleged misrepresentation by his brother who killed his friend.
He called on the security agencies to ensure proper investigations into the matter before concluding on his prosecution.
Boodo, a farmer and cattle rearer, said he only travel to Kiama in Kwara State where he was arrested on a visit to his uncle.
