A firm, Direct Credit company, has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kebbi State Government on soft loan to civil servants in the state.
The company’s country Sales Head, Mr. Abiodun Adigun, signed the agreement with Head of Service, Alhaji Abubakar Udu Idris, in Birnin-Kebbi.
Speaking with journalists after the agreement was signed, Adigun said his company has covered 27 states in Nigeria giving credit facilities to civil servants and other citizens.
Hear him, “We have covered 27 states in Nigeria and we discovered that we are doing well in northern States than South West States where we started. “.
He disclosed that since the company started ten years ago, it has helped many civil servants to have access to credit facilities stressed that the company gave out computers system to many people in Kaduna state as part of giving back to the society.
Speaking on the MoU signed with Kebbi State Government, Adigun said that civil servants could access loan within N18,000 and N1 million stressed that the repayment duration is within six months and 4% interest without collateral as against requirements in bank before getting loans.
In his remarks, the Head of Service said the present administration was willing to partner with any organisation that would bring relief to civil servants in the state.
The state’s Chairman of Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Umar Aliyu, said the labour welcomed the development and stressed that it would workers enable workers to have access to loan without collateral and creates jobs for people.
