For the next six months beginning from April 7, 2017, Nigerians across 27 cities will have fun like never before, as Glo’s block bursting entertainment fiesta, the first of its kind, kicks off with fanfare.

Tagged ‘Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour’ and ‘Glo Laffta Fest’, the twin mega shows have been packaged to delight Nigerians with endless fun and total entertainment. According to Globacom, each of the shows would be held in the selected 27 cities, with Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour parading leading musicians in the country, while Glo Laffta Fest will treat Nigerians to different sessions of jokes, courtesy of top comedians from Nigeria and other parts of Africa.

The first edition of Glo Mega Music Concert will take place at Best Western Hotel, Etete Layout, Benin City on Friday April 7, while Eko Hotels Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos will be the venue for the first leg of Glo Laffta Fest on Sunday, April 9.

Globacom further disclosed that the two shows would be held in different cities every weekend back-to-back with the Glo Mega Music Concert slated for Saturdays, while the Glo Laffta Fest show would hold on Sundays. The cities which will host each of the shows include Ikeja, Ikorodu, FESTAC and Ajah all in Lagos; Suleja, Kubwa and FCT all in Abuja; and then Awka; Owerri; Asaba; Calabar; Enugu; Aba; Port Harcourt; Ibadan; Ijebu Ode; Abeokuta; Ekpoma; Kaduna; Akure; Lokoja; and Ayingba.

“The A-list musicians who will perform at the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour include Olamide, Flavour, Runtown, Omawumi, Yemi Alade, PSquare, Phyno, Timaya, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’Ja and Kiss Daniel. As we proceed, we will further embellish the concert with another giant Nigerian musician.

To spice up the shows, top acts like Kanayo O. Kanayo, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Ebube Nwagbo, Funke Akindele, Odunlade Adekola, Sani Danja and other superstars would make guest appearances while the trio of Juliet Ibrahim, Joselyn Dumas and Mercy Johnson would anchor the shows

The icing on the cake, however, is that all the array of stars will entertain Glo subscribers in all the locations free of charge. But then, subscribers wishing to be part of the shows will use N3000 a month before each show and text ‘Music’ and their preferred location to a short code, 207, to qualify. For Glo Laffta Fest, subscribers will use N3000 before the show and send ‘LOL’ to a short code, 240.
