IPOB advises members to accept outcome

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has appealed to its members and Biafrans to accept the outcome of today’s  court ruling on the bail application of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu to avoid unnecessary killing of unarmed civilians by security agents.

The group alleged that it was not expecting any thing good from the court because the president had ordered the judiciary not to release its leader, during his broadcast on December 30, 2015.

A statement by the Media and Publicity of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful, yesterday, urged every member and Biafrans to remain calm notwithstanding whether the ruling is in favour or against its leader, Kanu.

“Everybody should stay calm today to avoid unnecessary killing of unarmed civilians. Therefore, there should be no celebration of any kind. We are not expecting any thing good from Nigeria court because Buhari, the president of Nigeria had ordered the judiciary not to release Nnamdi Kanu during his broadcast in December 30l, 2015

“Significantly, Justice Ademola who granted Kanu bail on December 17, 2015 is now facing allegations of corruption and he was suspended.

“Also, Justice Shuaibu who granted him bail was also accused of corruption and transferred out of FCT…

“Nevertheless, the Federal Government and the defence headquarters sent soldiers to the South East to rubbish the Amnesty International reports which is causing confusion around Nigeria and the world at large.

“Therefore, we are advising every Biafran and IPOB members to keep calm because the soldiers sent here came with a master plan: to kill unarmed members and drop some sophisticated weapons on top of the dead once to rubbish the Amnesty International reports.

We should focus on the coming referendum for the people of Biafra,” he said.
