Sawacha T Praise, popularly known as Jazmine-tk, is preparing to attempt a Guinness World Record by singing non-stop for 120 hours — five days and five nights — in an effort to break the current record of 105 hours.

The Delta State-born singer, who hails from Bomadi Local Government Area, began her music journey at age four. Her early exposure to music was influenced by her mother’s involvement in a women’s choir and the powerful vocals of international artist Celine Dion. Growing up, she developed a broad musical palette, shaped by songs like “Killing Me Softly,” “Wumbolumbo,” Sunny Okosun’s hits, and the ballads “Love You More” and “Shaba.”

Jazmine-tk’s singing career has spanned both live and virtual performances, often at church events and talent shows which she organized to support emerging artists. She also appeared in a stage production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar, marking her entry into musical theatre.

Her educational background includes a National Diploma in Broadcasting from the Film and Broadcast Academy (FABA) in Ozoro, Delta State, and a degree from Igbinedion University, Okada.

The upcoming record attempt, she says, is not only a personal challenge but a platform to encourage others to pursue their goals with determination. While she has received various awards in the past, Jazmine-tk’s attention is now fixed on setting a new benchmark in musical endurance and making history through her performance.
