Nigerians are dying
Your suggestions are superb. My score of the President Muhammadu Buhari government for this one year is five per cent. Nigerians are dying as a result of starvation. What we see is too much talk. Uzomba Kanu J. 08032910874.
Kudos
Your article made an interesting read.

You gave fair assessment
Your assessment of the first year of present government is rationally fair and balanced. You fairy mechanised the administration so far and offered lighting to its components. Please, I always enjoy your positive criticism!

We failed to do the right thing
Nigerians’ morale needs to fall before it rises again. Nigerians refused to salvage things before we arrived this bad state. Alfred. 08033058629.
Govt fixes problem, not complaint
This government is prophetic in nature. Its prophecies are terrifying but government is voted in to fix problems, not to raise alarms that could raise blood pressures. They have spent one year, catching thieves. Let’s see what the next 12 months have in store. Rev. J. Gold Monye, 07058882573.
Economy dying
Following the devaluation of naira and the removal of the so-called subsidy, the economy is gradually dying. That is the best scorecard. For the government, others are thieves and everybody in APC is a saint. 07017192302.
Appointments lopsided
Your article is very good. You might wish to note that President Buhari’s appointments in the security agencies are lopsided. It was pro-North and pro-Muslims. Bulus Afuwai. 08055125945.
Nigerians don’t like the truth
Nigerians hate being told the truth. Awolowo told Shehu Shagari about the economy. He was abused. Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu later said he was ‘the best president Nigeria never had.’ Some previous governments told lies and entrenched corruption. We are still battling. All those looters brought us to this mess, but we shall overcome. Amen. 08056749385
Good article
Your article was super. I enjoyed it, unlike one columnist whose article made me angry. I wonder why the columnist said the Shiites did not carry heavy arms and weapons when they accosted the entourage of the Chief of Army Staff? 08177061999.
Buhari inherited battered nation
Thank you for a very frank talk, quite unlike some others that would want to showcase their bias, either to the negative or positive. Fulani herdsmen and unlawful agitators should be flushed out of Nigeria. Agric and power sector should be improved. I implore the citizens to have a little more patience because Buhari inherited a battered nation that will not be fixed overnight. The government knows that people are dying of hunger. The issue of security should not be handled with kids’ glove.

Thank you
Thank you for this wonderful and hope-assuring article. Thank you also for being the voice for the voiceless. 08035695591
Thanks for your article on Public Sphere. It was excellent.

Govt not doing well
Anybody expecting Buhari to do more than what we saw is living in another world. Why is he shunning state visit in Nigeria if he is doing well? He had to send Vice President Yemi Osibanjo to Kano over fire incidence. He sent Osinbajo to Lagos when he should have visited. However, if the invitation came from Chad, the president would go. Buhari is not doing well.

This is our cross
Take a pat on the back for your progressive analysis on Buhari’s first year as president. If Nigerians did not know to whom Buhari belongs at his inauguration, it is clear he belongs to Fulani, before Nigeria. His bias showed in his actions, right from appointment of his aides. As for a year being short for assessment of his performance, the adage: “The morning shows the day,” makes that claim an arrant nonsense. Truth behind Chibok girls’ drama would be revealed later. Keep faith alive. Apart from its selective nature, corruption crusade is yielding fruits, no doubt. Foreign trips by a president for enhancement of a country’s economy is a wasteful exercise. What does a country establish embassies for? Nigerians have never had it this bad in economy and provision of infrastructure, especially in electricity and callous fuel price hikes et al. Nigerians have been sold to electricity DISCOS, who make cut-throat charges, backed by government, even when electricity is not supplied. Is that not a profound corruption? What we have in place is a military democracy, which empowers the operator and his aides to abuse the constitution. Buhari government is our cross to bear, but God will save Nigeria.

Re: See what politics and hypocrisy have caused (May Friday 20, 2016)
I’m shocked
Thank you for your article on petrol price hike and the hypocrisy therein. If during Goodluck Jonathan, somebody was clueless, I think somebody is blind now, in all ramifications. Thank you for speaking loud against the hypocrisy of some of our leaders. I am mostly shocked, as the man in Soyinka is dead. Ugbong Andy, Akwa Ibom. 08036740548.
We won’t forget what they told us
You are a journalist par excellence. You didn’t “chew” word; you went pointblank and delivered. The current crop of leaders used conspiracy theory to ride into power. They applied the political correctness theory to hoodwink the masses. I remember Prof Tam David West’s theory of N40 per litre of fuel. Let’s see how far this politrick will go. Engr. Emmanuel Nwafor, Enugu. 08034001471.
Thank you. These people are liars and betrayers to the highest order. I read your write up and I appreciate you very much. Thanks. 08072031128
Take a good look at Amina, her baby and the acclaimed Boko husband. Do you mean these people were in the bush for over two years, na waoo, so robust, good looking and healthy. This Sambisa forest looks like heaven on earth. I bet you before June 15, more of them will come out from wherever they are. Please, let’s lay a red carpet to president, as they come out one after another for a warm presidential reception. Naija, a nation of wonders. Chuks D. Ajare. 08053381680
