… As church hands out palliatives, cash to worshippers

For thousands of Christian faithful across Umuahia, the Abia State capital and its environs, the mega crusade with the six sons of Prophet Daniel Olukoya, held at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Umuahia Region, Amuzukwu Layout, has been an oasis amid many challenges confronting the world at large.

The crusade was a moment of showers of blessings and testimony galore as the host Pastor and Regional Overseer, MFM South-East, 6 Region, Pastor Olugbenga Aremu held the crusade service with the theme: ‘Anointing to open the gates of nations.”

The service was characterized by fervent prayer, energetic worship, different song ministrations, and a belief in miracles, attracted large congregations seeking divine intervention, healings, spiritual renewal, foreign and international breakthroughs.

Many participants described the crusade “one of the biggest gatherings” held by the church.

 The crusade, according to the host, Pastor Aremu, was in line with the Explosive Evangelism Initiative of the church, focused on achieving the following main objectives: capture the world for Christ, healing of the land as well as individuals of diverse challenges, especially people who need deliverance, spectacular local, national, foreign and international breakthroughs.

A workers’ retreat held as part of the three-day programme, featured Pastor Jesusina Morenikeji, chairman,  MFM Council of Regions, Ikom Axis; Pastor Samuel Oladejo, Mega Regional Overseer, MFM Ikorodu 2, Ijede; Pastor Moses Adekunle, Mega Regional Overseer, South- West 35, Oke Ado; Pastor Patrick Pat, Mega Regional Overseer MFM PTI, Warri;  Pastor Oluwole Usikalu, Regional Overseer, MFM Byahin, Kubwa, Abuja and the host,  Pastor Aremu, Regional Overseer , MFM South-East 6, Umuahia, Abia State.

Many of the worshippers came with the various flags of different countries where they desire national and international breakthroughs, prayer requests written on pieces of papers, as well as photos of their loved ones who could not be present due to the physical distance or were in hospitals or bedridden at home.

Others came along with water, olive oil, and clothing (mantles), which they hoped would be prayed upon, anchored on the belief that God would provide the ultimate source of solution to all their challenges and answer their supplications.

By the time the event kicked off, residents and others outside Umuahia had gathered in large number together with other participants who travelled from different states of the country to attend the uncommon crusade.

He explained that a lot of individuals were getting themselves worked up and burnt out, while others were going through one form of depression or the other in a quest to achieve breakthrough without result just because the spiritual gates were not opened through fervent deliverance prayers.

Aremu lamented that many people, especially the youths were engaging in rituals, Yahoo Plus and Internet fraud, with grave consequences rather than seeking God’s intervention  through geniune repentance and prayers with godly focus for the  spiritual gates regarding  their desired breakthroughs  to be open.

The crusade was jubilation galore as participants danced, sang, and praised God for the healing presence of the Almighty God and intervention.
