The Nigerian Bar Association, Women Forum (NBAWF), Osogbo Branch, Osun State, has called for gender balance in the upcoming election of the association.

The women professionals urged the leadership of the branch to ensure gender balance to be a leading factor for other associations.

The Osogbo branch facilitator, Sakirat Ashafa-Olaore, in a statement yesterday, said the group agreed at its monthly meeting on Wednesday to support Juliet Nkiruka Okonkwo, who is running for the position of General Secretary, and Aizeyosabo Esogie Ima-idehen, who is vying for the role of Treasurer.

She explained that the women group has endorsed the two female candidates, urging the branch to give them consideration.
